This journal is TOO much FUN! I'm so addicted. My hubby got it for me with a ton of other Smash goodies to go with it for Christmas. I hope this is something I'll keep up with all year. I can see this being a real family treasure one day!! So far I have done 5 pages. The rest of the year I'll need to do about 2 or 3 pages a month to finish it this year. That's sounds easy enough!

It's been nice getting back into a normal routine after those hectic holidays! I have been doing plenty of scrapping this month! Yay! Here are my last two pages...Both of these are made with scraps from my January Back Porch Memories kits. Gorgeous gorgeous kits! I really wish I could share all of my pages with you...but my regular design team pages where for the Member's eyes only! This month I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Solo kit which was filled with all kinds of Little Yellow Bicycle, Hello Fall Goodies. I can not single out one item to call my favorite! I loved it all. Last night as I was cleaning up the scraps I was so so sad. There is just not much left over...I want another kit just like that one to hoard away! The Prima Crystals, the felt flowers, those adorable banners and the canvas borders...GORGEOUS!

Here are the pages I put together...I just hope I did this yummy kit justice!!

And last but not least...this was my favorite project this month!

My five blessings are 1) Jesus Christ, 2) Love, 3) Family, 4) Our friends, and 5) God’s hand in our lives. We see His amazing work in so many places.

Crazy Little Business Experiment!

So I'm all the time talking about how neglected my Expression is. I worry myself to death that I just don't use it enough. Well, I have the solution. I'm going to try and take it to our local fall festival and do some custom vinyl cutting. The past few weeks I have worked ridiculously hard on putting together some really great artwork to cut. Maybe I've been able to create some things that people might want to buy. I'll try and get some pictures posted as I finish getting things ready!!

We haven't had these fish in the aquarium 2 weeks yet and look what we hve already found! The girls are just beyond excited. We have SO much fun hunting through the aqaurium looking for our new fishies.

Can you see it there? They are nearly impossible to photograph they are just so tiny!

There are dozens of them hiding in between all of the rocks around our aquarium...each of them no wider than a pencil led and no longer than a very short fingernail!

Our aquarium saga continues. Since we lost The Bruces & The Uglies in that crazy snow storm in 2009 I haven't had much luck keeping things alive in our aquarium. In 2 years this is the 3rd set of fish we have had to buy. :( That's not good. I feel a lot like Spencer from iCarly. lol I've just lost my aquarium mojo I guess. I've even pondered selling our aquarium. *gasp* Thankfully my husband knows that would be a stupid move. Having an aquarium keeps in mind some good memories of my Mom...that alone is reason enough to keep working at this whole aquarium thing. The girls LOVE having it...they love watching our new fish. This time we got us some cute little Mollies and some Platies. The mollies are so fun to watch! Very active and right out front. The platies spend most of the time hidden in and behind the rocks, they are just boring! (they sure know when it's feeding time though!) We also got a pair of snails...I never would have guessed those little buggers would be so entertaining. It's a searching game every time we look in the aquarium...where are they now?? For snails those things sure do get around. You never know where they will turn up!

There's our Cory Cat too...he is the ONLY fish that survived my last round of fish killing. (I think I overdosed the aquarium with algae killer. I killed my fish...but you can see it didn't even make a dent in the algae. :( )

I have finally redone my blog. *shew* I think it's finished and I'm thinking I like it! What do you think? The banner was fun. I actually scrapped it. A little Basic Grey, Hello Luscious and a little of the new Simple Stories, 100 Days of Summer, some old old My Minds Eye and a little Maya Road doilie on some old corrugated cardboard. The background is also Basic Grey Hello Luscious...I photographed it and used the .jpg for the background.

Tell me if you see some things that need tweeking or if you have any suggestions for my blog. I'm not very good at this sort of thing and need all the help I can get!!

A few weeks ago I learned about a new tool. Picasa Web Albums! I love it. It is a great tool for backing up your pictures.

I also learned something else. Every time you upload a picture to your blog...any picture; your banner, your little side bar doodads, all the images you've uploaded to your posts...all those images are saved to one little file.

Guess where?

Yep, you guessed it..in Picasa Web Albums. I also learned that if you accidently delete that file because you have a happy trigger finger and you've temporarily, even for a just second loose your mind...that file is lost and gone forever...and so are all your nifty little blog pictures that you've had for ages and ages and can't seem to find them to upload them again. *sigh*

I was really wanting to update my blog...I know it's been neglected for a while...but this was just NOT how I wanted to do it. lol Bare with me here while I try and figure out what I am going to do with my little piece of internet real estate. I know it looks a little sad right now. But I'll get to it!!

Always a Dare Devil!

I did this for the weekly challenge At Scrapbook Express! What a fun challenge, the challenge was to recycle something non-scrappy. The timing was funny because just last week I cleaned out the girls hairbow bin and we where going to throw away a bunch of baby hairbows...but the butterflies where just too stinking cute to trash! I wish the others had matched the LO, but this one lonely butterfly had to do.

Man how time flies. I remember watching her swing and getting butterflies in my stomache because she always wanted to do something just a little scarier than I could handle. lol She's 5 now...and still doing the same thing. "Watch this", is going to be the death of me!

This page is made with with Echo park papers and stickers...the square letters are also EP and the white glitter letters are Sugar Coated Doodlebug. I also used the pink doodlebug paper frill and some MM brads.

I did this for a Back Porch Memories challenge. Laura Jean challenged us to use at least 5 hearts on our page. So...I went through my stash looking for heart related embellishments. Hmmm, I don't have hardly any!! Hmph! But any way...I made due with what I did have. But as I was looking for hearts I pulled out every bit of scrappy embellishments that rather matched my papers and decided to see just how many different manufactures I could include on this one page. lol Ha! What a fun mix of stuff. Embellishments: My Minds Eye, Jenni Bowlin, WRMK, K. & Co., Glitz, Tim Holtz, Bella Blvd. and 7 Gypsies. PP: Fancy Pants, Studio Calico and My Minds Eye. I know that is a record for me! lol

I got to stop into Archiver's for a split second just to pick me up some Echo Park, Little Girl. I love this line!

A little Scrappy time!

Ugh! What a weekend. Saturday I woke up with a little crick in my back. It hurt, and I whined and carried on all day...but it wasn't enough to stop me though, just a slight nagging pain. THEN, my hubby got the girls a new little toy to play around in, (a two seater go-cart) Of course we had to ride it around a while to try it out! Well, of course the darn thing broke down on us about a half mile up the road...and of course we ended up pushing it most of the way home. :-( Then...about an hour later I was rolling around on the bed in the worst pain EVER. My pain went from a nagging 3 to I'd rather be in labor kind of pain. It's finally feeling better now. I don't know what I did to myself...but I never want to it again! Yuck! The worst part of having a back ache is having the urge to scrap...but being in too much pain to even think about being creative. :-( No fun! I did manage to get one page done Sunday night.

The sad part of this page is...it's the second page I have done about Chloe's butt. lol It's just hilarious to me how the poor girl never has enough butt to keep her britches up.

Have you ever wished that scrapbook stuff came with an undo button. Oh, I do. I've gotten way to comfy with my sewing machine lately. What was I thinking when I thought I could sew a circle around Chloe's tail? It did not turn out at all like I wanted to. What was I thinking?? I started to drop the photo in the trash and wait until I could get the photo reprinted to finish the page...but I hate leaving things half done on my desk. lol I just had to finish it. I covered up the mess as best I could. Flowers to the rescue.

My Scrapbook Nook - Virtual Crop

I had so much fun scrapping this weekend. My Scrapbook Nook was having a crop with tons and tons of fun challenges. I hate it that I only got 3 done. There where so many more that I wanted to do...there just aren't enough hours in the weekend.

This is my first page...Challenge #11 - Getting to know you.

Talk about hard! What a great challenge. The challenge was to interview a family memeber. Then where the hard part comes in...you had to use 4 pps(target $ spot pp, BG, MLYB and CI), at least 2 different alphas(AC, MM and Dyno tape) and 5 different types of embellies (buttons, flowers, bling, puff ball ribbon, and a journal tag).

Second is #3-Old Stash

All the talk of vintage photos really got me wanting to scrap and old photo! This was me when I was 3. I used some ancient Daisy D pp that I've had since, well, forever! It was waiting just for this picture I think. I also used some old Prima flowers and bling from last year that I just can never bare to use. Just too darn cute to use up!

Then last was Challenge #7 - Scraplift

I am so in love with this designeers work! It was just an honor to get to scraplift LG Balarmino. I lifted her Winter Funland page.

Back Porch Memories

Can you believe it has been nearly a month since my last post? Yikes! There just isn't enough hours in the days.

I am so excited to be posting this today. I was lucky enough to get to scrap as a guest designer for Back Porch Memories this month! Yay! What a privilege it has been! The January Solo kit is absolutely gorgeous! It's filled with My Mind's Eye, Fine & Dandy goodness!! I am so excited about this kit, I don't know which page to show first!

Let's see, the first page I did was Welcome to Kindergarten.

This is Chloe on the first day of school. She was so very excited! On this page I used the Fancy Pants, Love Birds alpha stickers, I used a bunch of the MME Fine & Dandy Layered Stickers, those things are just too cute!! I also used some of the Fine & Dandy MME Ribbon, I loved that too! So gorgeous! The pps I used are Tickled Pink: Adorned, Cheery and Pretty. I also used the Fine & Dandy Jewels from the add-on embellishment kit.

The second page I did was Snow Fun! More Chloe...she is my camera hog!

I used a lot of the same goodies on this page as my first, the Fine & Dandy ribbons, the jewels, and the layered stickers. I also used both the Fancy Pants Alphas and the Bumble Thickers in my title. I did add a few buttons from my stash as I have a button addiction. lol The papers are all Tickled Pink pps, Radiant, Pretty and Cheery.

The third page, Our very Own Sunshine, I did for the January sketch.

I thought it would be fun to follow along with Danielle P.'s Single/Double challenge with this sketch! More gorgeous jewels, more yummy ribbon. I used the Bumble Thickers for my title. I also had fun with some fussy cutting with the little birds and circles from the Adorned pp. I also used Cheery and Radiant pps.

Then last but not least...this was such a fun project! And what a way to use up scraps. I used nearly all of the rest of my kit on this flower pot.

I finally got to use the gorgeous aqua and Orange Jillibean Soup Sugar Picks and I also used all 6 ppps from the kit in this project. I also finished off the rest of my ribbon too. :-( I want some more! Of course I added some buttons from my stash.

And that's all! I so hope you enjoy this kit as much as I did! I really tried to do those gorgeous papers and goodies justice.

Good afternoon!

I did this page for one of Back Porch Memories monthly challenges. Michelle's Thankful/Grateful recipe challenge. The ingredients were the word "grateful or thankful" a button, floss, and a die cut. I used The girls paperie pp, half of a MME diecut, a prima flower, bobunny and my little shoebox letter stickers...and Colossians 3:15 for journaling.

Isn't she just the prettiest thing?? This was 5 minutes before she snuck off the dock and went for a swim. It was 60* out, but she sure didn't care! The pps are adornit with some K & Co. and Bo Bunny border pieces.

I'm finally starting to get my scrapping mojo back. I don't know what happened there for a little while but I just couldn't get in the mood to scrap!

This was with some scraps left over from my October SO PP and BB kit! These papers are so much fun.

Taylor's pretty face is just covered in freckles. Chloe has always called them sprinkles and it's kind of just caught on...now we all call them sprinkles. I used Green at Heart Basic Grey pps.

And then this last one I've done was the end of the first day of school. Taylor was so happy and Chloe was so exhausted! OA pps in this page!

Happy Birthday Simply Obsessed! Celebrating 3 years of Scrappy Awesomeness! I hope you are enjoying our Blog Hop this morning! You should have come to me from Brianna's blog, Jill of all Tradez ?? I wanted to make something special for the blog hop. Something birthday related that might be a little unique? I racked my brain until I finally desided I needed to make a Perpetual Birthday Calendar! After I put it all together I decided that, well...now that I will Remember WHEN I need to make my peeps some cards, I also need to know WHERE to mail them. lol So I added an address book too! It was so simple. It spent more time typing up the calendar and address pages than it did to make the book. It's made with October Afternoon papers and letter stickers, some American Craft Thickers and Foofala buttons. Oh, and the font for the tabs is one of my favorites, it's called Digs my Heart. Wow, can I just tell you how much I LOVE this kit? I know I'm not alone since the kit has already sold out. But goodness, if you can get your hands on this kit you will be so happy. I know Heather is trying to get together a reorder, so don't hesitate to let her know if you want one!!! I did 3 pages and have tons more goodies I haven't even touched yet. I can't wait to get back with it and play some more!!! It's bright and happy and is just perfect for our summer pictures!!!

How can you say no to that face? *rofl* It's Chloe during one of her regular drama queen moments. When I showed her the picture, she tried so hard not to smile. You know that look. lol This page is all kit goodies exept for the Kraft CS, the red Target $ spot letter stickers and some buttons from my stash. I am in love with those Niki Riki thickers! I want them in all colors now. So much fun and they are just the perfect size.

Redneck Princess:

Yes, that IS mud on Chloe's face. We had rain for a solid week last month, so my husband had lots of fun mud holes to drive the 4 wheeler through. They had SO much fun and got SO dirty! They had to wash off with the garden hose before they came near the house. Chloe said being a redneck sure was fun.

This is all kit goodies except for the buttons. I can never have enough buttons! lol Even the little black scallops are from the kit....they came from the rub-on packaging! They were just too cute to throw away.

This page is all kit goodies, right down to the CS. I just love the banner that came with the kit, you could do so much with it! I slapped a little paint on them, covered the tops with pretty paper and stacked them. I loved the dimention it added. This may have been the second or third time I have EVER used a rub on! I couldn't believe it was so easy. The big one, I was just too chicken to put it right on the page. So I put it on white cardstock then cut it out. I believe it would have done just fine to put it right on the page, but I just wasn't confident enough. lol

Come check out my first Design Team Reveal on the Simply Obsessed Blog!

Good morning! This is my first kit reveal and I am just too excited! This kit was so much fun to work with. I have the hardest time finding manly paper that I just love, so this kit was a wonderful surprise. It is gorgeous, the colors are so warm and yummy. The papers are so versatile, I love the mix of gorgeous patterns. I could just keep on and on creating with it.

My first page is of my husband early last spring on top of Mt. Currahee, it's our closest mountain. It's not very big, but it still a nice view and a fun way to spend the afternoon! :D The words on the page and the buttons are mostly Badda Bing chipboard with a few from the Bits A Bella sheet. The title piece is from the Billboards sheet. Love it! Those pieces where so much fun, the possibilities are endless with the wide variety of shapes, words and buttons! I am also in love with those cute little Jenni Bowlin copper stick pins.

My second page is a picture of my husband from last month. You have to scrap the icky along with the good, right? lol I think this might have been our third trip to the emergency room in as many weeks. :-( My poor husband felt like he had been bulldozed. Kidney Stones are NO FUN! The "Never Give Up" circle, the Mr. Tough Guy strip and the journaling dot are from the Bits A Bella paper. The strips underneath the pic are also from that same paper. The word "Not" is the Cosmo Cricket chip letters. I used some Badda Bing chipboard to help it pop a little. The buttons and the little accents are also Badda Bing. The Sun Corral Bazzill is also from the kit. The only thing from my stash is "again" .

This card is the Coastal Blue Bazzill from the kit. I used some of the Basic Gray Capella gummies and gorgeous flowers on here too. The Billboard pp was perfect for my card! The Blue and white pp is from the Bits A Bella paper. The Cosmo Cricket letters worked great for my card too.

With this card I used some stitching and distressed all my edges to give it some texture. The Badda Bings accents where just perfect to complete my simple little Father's Day card!

Ok...maybe not literally, but spiritually it felt a lot like a hug! Alright, let me explain from the beginning. Chloe has a baby blue Bible. I honestly think this little book is her most prized possession. Well, last Wednesday...somehow it got dropped out in the yard. Good old Emma just happened to be the one who found it, and chewed it to pieces. :-( Thankfully it was one of the big girls that found it and not Chloe! Sunday morning on our way to church I quickly realized that that Bible needed to be replaced, and quick! Oh,and Chloe didn't need to know it! I don't think she could handle it. She cried...I mean BooHooed! all the way to church and back home again because she couldn't find her baby blue Bible! Whaaa!

So this morning I went to Commerce to the little store we bought the first Bible from. I prayed in the car...Oh please, Oh please dear God let them still have that Bible!! Let me tell you, he is an awesome God. He must have agreed that Chloe didn't need her feelings hurt. On the shelf...one, just one baby blue Bible. The box it was in was torn and tattered, obviously picked over because of it's sad box. But I didn't care about the shape of the box. It was what was inside I cared about. And it was perfect, just like God's love for us. I know with all my heart that God saw to it that that box got mangled so that it wouldn't be good enough for the random shoppers. He wanted it saved for someone who needed, really needed the perfect baby blue Bible inside. Thank you Lord for my special hug this morning.

To know God loves me, and how he is so willing to bless me over and over again. Knowing full well, I don't deserve it. It's just oso overwhelming. His love is so perfect. I hope my silly story has reminded you of a hug you've gotten from Him. If it has..share please. Leave a message with your story of God's blessings in your life. I would love to read them!!!!

My heart is just breaking. I am praying for those in Haiti. I can't imagine what they are going through. We couldn't possibly know the trials and tribulations they are suffering through right now. I pray with all my heart that the Lord will touch each and every survivor and fill their hearts with His love and grace and touch their bodies with His healing power. I pray that those in Haiti know our Lord and let Him carry their burdens. I pray they grow a personal and loving relationship with our Lord Christ Jesus. His yoke is easy and His burden is light, let them know to turn it over to Him, he is willing to lift it from them if they will only allow it. In His precious and Holy name, I pray with all my heart.

I finally put it in the mail this morning. I can't believe I went to the post office in my pajamas! I was so afraid I would forget to get it in the mail. It was due out yesterday...and I just hate to be late with anything!!

This is for Karen's book, "so sings my heart". We where to choose a song that has special meaning to us. THAT was a HARD choice! I chose Matchless by Aaron Shust because it so simply speaks the truth, it's so inspiring and uplifting.

I went to Archiver's Wednesday after work! It was fun...but what was I thinking? Traffic was such a mess the day before Thanksgiving! It took me 2 hours to get from Buford to Carnesville. This was my bargain of the day!! I got a pack of Basic Grey Urban Prairie for $8.40. (Reg. $11.99 - 30% coupon (yay coupons! lol)) For 34 sheets of BG. It didn't come with the usual letter stickers or embellishment stickers...but it does have 2 sheets of the whole collection. Yay me! Right?

These things are so much fun. I have really enjoyed seeing so much creativity thrown in these things! Such inspiration. I believe I only have two more journals left and our circle will be complete. I can't wait to see my book again!!!

This month my topic was to scrap a funny story. Ha! Being the goofball I am I had lots of stories to choose from. Taylor enjoyed reading about how she publicly humiliated me. lol I need to scrap this story for myself now.

Journaling reads:

Having 4 kids I should be used to horrible mishaps, right? I have been embarrassed many times, but never so bad as that day at Racetrak, a local gas station. Taylor had just turned 3, and she had to use every public restroom we drove by...I swear! No big deal. We pumped gas then went inside to go potty. She went, then it was my turn. I was sitting on the toilet, midstream, when Taylor decided to LEAVE! Like lightning...BAM...she slammed the door all the way open...so loud every person in the gas station turned to see what the commotion was. The door...just out of my reach...stayed open. I was horrified...sitting on the toilet with at least a half a dozen people staring at me as my baby ran out the open gas station door. I was screaming, "Taylor get back here, right now!!" as my dignity was being flushed down the toilet. The worst part was afterwards I had to wait in line to pay for my gas. It took me a year or more before I was able to go back in that station again. ACK!

What a weekend!

Wow! I can't believe it's Monday already. I need an extra few days off to reflect and ponder my fabulous weekend! We went on a weekend retreat hosted my my church's women's ministry team (WoW - Women of Worth). We were blessed to spend Saturday evening and Sunday morning with the most beautiful and talented women of Beloved. Oh, the light these women have is so inspiring. Their faith just glows. Not only can they sing (and wow can they sing! I have goose bumples just reminiscing!) but they teach a fabulous lesson. I learned so much about myslef and realized I'm not the only wierdo with all these looney personality traits. It was so interesting to learn how our traits go hand in hand with each other and how our compatibility meshes with others around us. I have so much more to learn...so much to work on as well. I can't wait to see these women again. What a blessing. I can only pray that every women would get the oportunity to hear these women sing. Kim, the tall blonde..oh my word!! That woman is hilareous!! She will leave you in stitches. I laughed so many times this weekend until I had tears in my eyes. We had so much fun!

This challenge was to scrap something sports related. Yeah, maybe marching band isn't exactly sports...but it is enjoyed at a sporting event! Close enough! lol We are so excited to have an excuse to go to all the FCHS ballgames!!! We really have fun. Even Taylor and Chloe can't get enough! Go Lions!

Scrapping Again!

A long long time ago I was laying in bed and couldn't sleep. Like any good scrapbooker, I was thinking about a page I wanted to do for Chloe. In the middle of the night I got up and scribbled some notes and filed them away in my scrapbook desk...never to see them again! lol Well last weekend I went to scrap and I just couldn't. The mess was too overwhelming. SO, instead of scrapping I spent the entire day cleaning and reorganizing my small (giggle) scrapbooking collection. Low-and-behold...there where this cute little note about some of Chloe's silliness. So here's the LO about my little comedian.

This week was Telah's turn to set the challenge. In honor of Halloween and all the candy we are going to be collecting over the next week she has asked us to make our page candy related. Either scrap about candy or use a candy wrapper as inspiration.

This was not hard for me to find inspiration. After all, I do have 4 kids. Who likes candy more than kids? lol Right now my youngest is completely obsessed with Starburst. When I say she thinks she has to have some every day, I mean it. I should have included on my page that her pet name for Starburst is "my scarbies".

Scrap Whispers - Challenge 47

This was hard!! These ingredient challenges are always a doosie for me. I kind of messed up on the journalling tag. I rather misunderstood it until I read it over on the blog. Yikes!! You can't do anything with me I guess.

Sarah's Challenge:

This week we have a very specific challenge for you, set by Sarah from our Design Team! You have to use the following "ingredients" on a layout:

1 piece of 12x12 cardstock
1 piece of 5x7 patterned paper
1 piece of 3x9 patterned paper
1 piece of 8x8 patterned paper (all the patterned paper has to be different)

Scrap Whispers - Challenge 46

Have a little reminisce about your childhood, or maybe your teen years. Is there something - a place, a person, an activity, a TV programme, a piece of music - that really brings it all back? It could be a park or playground you went to, an item of clothing you coveted for months and nagged your parents to buy for you, a film that really caught your imagination...

BUT it must be something you don't actually have a photo of! Find a photo online, cut up a magazine, use a pic of your kids doing something similar and create a comparison. If none of the above appeals to you, don't use a photo at all.

The journaling's important for this one, so make sure you add something about your memory - it can be hidden if you'd prefer.

Shew! That was a fun project!! It was the picture part that knocked me for a loop. I had no idea it was going to be so hard to find a photo of a blue jean vintage record player. lol I'm tickled with the one and only picture I did manage to find though!! lol

I am so spoiled. I feel like it right now anyway. lol I took the day off work and went and spent the whole entire day with Hilary at Southern Gardenia. OK, so I was there from 11-8, less about an hour and a half to get the girls from school and take them home...and I still only got 4 pages scrapped. Hil., she worked on invitations, unloaded some boxes of scrap stuff, loafered around the store and watched TV for a while and she still got 7 pages done. :-( She makes me feel so unbelievable slow!!!

Chris will kill me for posting this picture. (hehe) I just don't care, I am so proud. This is from Tuesday at their Northeast Georgia Marching Exhibition. She just loves band and that makes me so happy. I'm glad she is busy with something.

They got some really great and exciting news Tuesday! The Franklin County Marching Pride was recommended by the governor, Sonny Purdue, to represent Georgia in the 2010 annual Independence Day Parade in Washington D.C. How exciting is that?!?! My baby is going to be marching in front of the White House in front of hundreds of thousands of people. I'm just welling with pride I am so proud of her.

We just went and met with our pastor, Chris about Taylor getting baptized. Of course I cried. Taylor told me I embarrassed her. :-( I just can't help myself. When it come to matters of faith I am a blubbering fool. I am proud of her. It will be a few months before they have another baptism, they haven't scheduled an exact date. Taylor was upset about that. She said she is too excited to wait that long. She wants everyone to know she has Christ in her heart.

A cute little 6X6 mini album I just made! Fun!!! I love the colors. I wish I had been able to take some good pictures of it. I have LOST the stupid charger to my camera battery. Can you believe that? I can't even remember where I last charge the battery at. I am loosing my mind. I must be. :( I found another one on ebay for $15. I guess it could be worse. I hate being disappointed in myself.

Good Day! I hope everyone is having a nice Patriots Day. Don't forget to take a minute or two to remember all those treasured lives that where lost on 9/11. It's hard to imagine that it was 8 years ago. I remember the grief and shock I felt that morning like it was yesterday. My prayers are with all those families that lost so much that day.

I had fun lifting her LO. I love lifting lifts of lifts. I lifted her version of Nilsa's sketch we did in the last round of Scrap Whispers! It was so hard to pick just one thing to lift. Her cards are fabulous! She is an awesome stamper. I'm in awe.

Here is Rosey's LO...isn't that picture amazing? Gorgeous!

Here is my LO! Wow, I changed it a lot, but the sketch is still there...I focused on the fun layers, the scallops, the fibers, I kept the polka dots but I had to leave out the flowers...my version is already busy enough! lol

This is Christine the evening she came home from Big Stuff last year. What a blessing that is. Her and Justin both said that that was an experience everyone should have. I wish I could have gone with them.

Wow...my blog is going to go into shock! I've not uploaded this much in one week since I created the thing! I just wanted to post a LO I did this afternoon. I scrapped it just for me and just for fun. That was cool!

Michael doesn't like this picture of Chloe, he says she looks like a punk. I say well, you know...that is what she is. lol I love this paper...It's all glittery and sparkly. It's all my favorite too bright colors! I got it in the dollar bins at Target! What a find! An 8 sheet pack for a buck!

Well, finally...Chloe had her first haircut today!! Michael has put if off as long as he could. He doesn't want his little baby to grow up!! I don't blame him, I don't either. She did so good! At first she was scared and whiny, but it didn't take her long at all to come around. It helped that Beth was fabulous with her. She came around quickly!! Her hair looks almost the same, except the back has a cute little curl to it. I kept her hair...I'll have to scrap it soon! :-)

First day of school. :-( Christine was so nervous I thought she was going to spontaneously combust! Bless her heart...she made it through though. she said all went well except for lunch, which is much to short. lol Taylor loves Mrs. Smith. I think it's going to be a good year.

Chloe doesn't start school until August 31. I am so scared!!!

I learned a lesson. If you press save now to a post, it's not at all the same as if you press publish post. I feel like such a dork. This was my third blog roll. I was so confident...and of course this is the one week I trusted it to post, the one week it didn't.

on her right hand and arm....all the way to her little elbow. I feel just horrible. I asked my DD, Christine if she wanted to cook supper or fold laundry. She chose to cook supper. Everything was done...corn muffins were sitting on the back burner cooling. the front burner was hot from mashed potatoes...Christine went to the laundry room, Chloe came in the kitchen and pulled her a chair up to the stove and decided she wanted a muffin. She burnt her arm on the hot eye.

I know I can't go back and fix it, but I just wish I had been in the kitchen. Her cry was tragic, she hurt so bad...all the way to the emergency room she was just shaking. She cried "it's just not fair" over and over.

Tylenol with Codeine must be really good pain medicine, her voice is almost gone from talking SO much. She is high as a kite now. We have to keep her bandaged for 5 days. She has little blisters on her finger tips two places on her palm and all along the underside of her arm.

Pray for my little baby. I hope she isn't going to be hurting to bad tomorrow.

Kreativ Blogger Award

Hey! How fun is this?! I just found out this morning that Chelsey has passed me a Kreativ Blogger Award! Whoo Hoo…whodathunk? So…as it goes I have to exclaim 6 positive things, and pass this on to 6 fabulous blogs. Easy enough!

1) The Lord is my Blessed Savior and I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that faith and perseverance will pull our country through these hard times.
2) My family is truly amazing. How I have ever been found deserving of such blessings is beyond me. Each and every member of my family is truly special and I love each one SO much. They bring joy to my life and make my life worth living.
3) I am proud of our happy church home. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful group of people to worship with. I am so happy that Michael and I have the opportunity to teach AWANA. I know we have both grown and learned as much from them in the past year as we have been able to teach them.
4) I am happy I scrap! I love scrapping. What did I ever do before I scrapped? LoL It is so much fun to make beautiful (I think so anyhow!) treasures for my kids and their kids! I love it!
5) I am grateful for my fabulous job. I work with a bunch of wonderful people. I’m especially grateful in this icky economy to have a secure job, I know they are going to need me forever!
6) My family and I all have our health. That is fabulous! So grateful every morning to wake up safe and sound. I pray that will stay true a long long long time.

...was so much fun!! We went yesterday with our youth! We had a blast! I think Jody and Michael and I had just as much fun as the kids! Haha...we finished that sucker in just 25 minutes! The funniest part, and most ironic part is that I led the way! How scary is that?? Apparently I can read a map pretty efficiently. I never did get us too lost at all!

In this picture, Christine was missing because her group took about an hour longer than we did to get their cards punched! Whoo Hoo! *LOL*

I am having so much fun doing the Scrap Whispers game this time. Georgina has let me lead a team. I feel so priveledged! We are on week two now. Our weekly challenge for this week is NO FACES! Wow! That was a challenge. I had fun coming up with an idea. I'm really pleased with how my page came out.

Ugh! It's official! Fall is here. 8>( And I am so not happy about it. Last night we went to the park to a friends birthday party. Oh, I was just miserable. The wind was blowing like crazy, I was freezing. The smoke from the campfire (which I usually LOVE) was just killing my eyes and throat. :( The wind was so bad our power went out at about 10...it didn't come back on until after 3 this morning. I feel so miserable this morning. MY head and throat are just killing me. I just hope this is a super quick winter...maybe spring will be here before I know it. LOL

This week has been an absolute whirlwind! Taylor came home from school Monday with a swollen cheek. Took her to the dentist on Tuesday and found she had an abscess. The antibiotics didn't kick in like they wanted so they ended up doing surgery on my poor baby yesterday.

She is doing Better now...not quite so swollen, but still really bruised. Bless her heart. I hope she will be able to go back to school tomorrow.

I am so proud! I had fun making this little album. It is the first time I have ever altered anything that I was going to keep for myself. I think I could get addicted to making these CB albums! I keep looking for something else to alter!
